TORONTO ARGONAUTS ANNOUNCE RESULTS OF CFL-LFA DRAFT

Argos add three in inaugural draft of Mexican players

 

 

TORONTO - The Toronto Argonauts added three players today in the first CFL-LFA Draft.

The three-round draft featured players from the LFA (Liga de Futbol Americano Profesional) and was held in Mexico City.

Holding the fourth pick in the draft, the Double Blue selected defensive end Uriel Martinez Bernal from Tigres UANL. With its second selection, 13th overall, the club added Jose David Casarrubias Santiago, another defensive end who played for Leones UAMN. In the third round, 22nd overall, the club opted for another defensive player, linebacker Christian Alejandro Hernandez Delgado from Fundidores.

The Argonauts now hold the CFL rights to these three players.
