MARCUS BALL OFFICIALLY RETURNS TO TORONTO

TORONTO – Former Toronto Argonauts Most Outstanding Defensive Player Marcus Ball is returning to Toronto after agreeing to a new deal with the Double Blue, the team announced today.

Ball, a 6-0, 209-pound international linebacker, previously spent two seasons (2012-13) with the Double Blue, registering 144 defensive tackles, five special teams tackles, seven quarterback sacks, and four interceptions, two of which were returned for touchdowns, before making the move to the NFL.

Over the last three seasons, the former Memphis Tiger has spent time with the New Orleans Saints, Carolina Panthers and the San Francisco 49ers. In 18 NFL games, he notched 20 tackles (15 solo, 5 assisted).

Ball will officially make his return this after afternoon when the Argonauts take the field for the first practice of their 2017 training camp at York University’s Alumni Field at 4 p.m. 

The Argonauts also announced today that the club has released international defensive back Quayshawn Nealy
