ARGOS WR DEVIER POSEY NAMED CFL TOP PERFORMER IN WEEK 15

TORONTO - Toronto Argonauts wide receiver DeVier Posey has been named a CFL Top Performer of the Week for Week 15. This is Posey’s first career Top Performer honour and marks the third straight week an Argonaut has won this award.

Posey, in his second season with the Argonauts, hauled in seven passes for 104 yards and two touchdowns in an overtime win against Hamilton on Saturday night. His first touchdown, a spectacular diving catch in the end zone, came with less than one minute to go in the game and set up the game-tying two-point convert. On the third play of OT, Posey hauled in another touchdown pass from Ricky Ray, giving Toronto a lead they would not relinquish.

The Ohio State product is enjoying a productive season in Double Blue with 39 receptions, 514 yards and six touchdowns in only eight games after missing time earlier in the year on the six-game injured list. His six receiving touchdowns rank him seventh in the league among wideouts and second on the team.
