ARGOS SIGN THREE ON EVE OF ROOKIE CAMP

TORONTO – The Toronto Argonauts announced today that the team has signed quarterbacks McLeod Bethel-Thompson and Dakota Prukop as well as defensive lineman Justin Tuggle

Bethel-Thompson, a 6-4, 230-pound, native of San Francisco, California, comes to Toronto after spending a month on the Winnipeg Blue Bombers practice roster last season following stints with in the NFL, AFL and UFL over the last six seasons.  He played three seasons at Sacramento State after transferring from UCLA, and finished his NCAA career completing 136-of-252 passes for 1,615 yards and eight touchdowns while adding two rushing touchdowns.   

Prukop, a 6-2, 205-pound, native of Newport, California, played one season at Oregon after spending three seasons at Montana State. He finished his NCAA career completing 481-of-750 passes for 6,798 yards and 54 touchdowns while rushing 381 times for 1,914 yards and 26 touchdowns between the two schools.

Tuggle, a 6-3, 247-pound, native of Alpharetta, Georgia, spent time with the NFL’s Houston Texans and Cleveland Browns over the last four seasons. In 42 NFL games, the Kansas State product registered 71 tackles (44 solo, 27 assisted), one interception, one forced fumble and two pass knockdowns.

The Argonauts also announced today that international receiver Andre Debose has retired.
