ARGOS RB JAMES WILDER JR NAMED A CFL TOP PERFORMER FOR WEEK 4

TORONTO - Toronto Argonauts second-year RB James Wilder Jr. has been named a CFL Top Performer of the Week for Week 4. This is Wilder's first Top Performer award in 2018 after capturing the honour three times in 2017.

Last season's Most Oustanding Rookie turned in a big performance in Saturday night's win over Edmonton, carrying the ball 21 times for 120 yards and one touchdown and adding three receptions for 27 yards through the air. It was the former Florida State Seminole's play down the stretch, 72 rushing yards in the final two series', that allowed the Double Blue to grind down the clock and secure their first win of the season.

In three games this season, the versatile Wilder has rushed 36 times for 196 yards and one touchdown, while hauling in 11 receptions for 125 yards. His 196 rush yards are good for sixth best in the CFL this year. Winnipeg LB Adam Bighill and Ottawa WR Brad Sinopoli were also named CFL Top Performers for Week 4.
