Ray, who a had a career day on Sunday afternoon at BMO Field, completed 32-of-41 passing attempts for 506 yards and a touchdown to lead the Argonauts to a 32-15 victory over the rival Ticats. The 15-year veteran’s 506 passing yards set a new career high, and marked the second time in his career that he has eclipse the 500-yard mark and 12th time in which has thrown for 400+ yards in a single-game. Ray also joined the 55,000 career passing yards’ club on Sunday, a feat only three other quarterbacks have accomplished.
Green made his Argonauts debut in good fashion on Sunday, hauling in seven passes for 124 yards. The 11-year CFLer, who returned from a knee injury suffered in Week 2 of last season, recorded his 18th career 100-yard receiving game. On a 27-yard completion from Ray in the first quarter, Green slid into the Top 60 pass catchers of all-time. With 6,750 career yards, he now sits 296 short of entering the CFL’s Top 50 in all-time receiving yards.
