ARGOS HUDDLE UP PROGRAM KICKS OFF 17TH YEAR
TORONTO – The Toronto Argonauts have officially kicked off another year of the club’s renowned Huddle Up program. In its 16 years, the Huddle Up Bullying Prevention Program, presented by Tim Hortons, has reached over 600,000 students with messages to prevent bullying.
In now it’s 17th year, the program will continue to address the issues surrounding bullying while adding a focus on improving the well-being of students in GTA schools. Argos players, staff and cheerleaders will lead the way in educating youth on making positive choices through student empowerment and engagement. The Argos representatives will share personal stories that encourage, embrace and celebrate diversity and inclusion with the goal of helping inspire students to build positive character, self-awareness and a positive sense of belonging.
The student committees from each school began their preparations in the fall to start the Argonauts message prior to the scheduled assemblies this off-season. The 2017 Grey Cup Champions will visit over 35 elementary and secondary schools across the GTA in the coming months.
