ARGOS BRING BACK CANADIAN WR ALEX CHARETTE

TORONTO – The Toronto Argonauts announced today the club has signed National WR Alex Charette through 2020.  

Charette, 27, was acquired by the Argos on August 8, 2017, and over two seasons in Double Blue the St. Catharines, Ontario native played in 23 games, primarily on special teams and tallied seven special teams tackles. An original fourth-round draft choice of the Montreal Alouettes in 2015, Charette played two seasons for the Als, recording 24 receptions for 208 yards and 10 special teams tackles in 27 games.

The product of the University of Guelph spent four seasons at UG, playing in 34 games and racking up 109 catches for 1,296 yards and nine touchdowns as well as leading the Gryphons in all-purpose yards as a junior with 909. Charette played in the 2014 U Sports East-West Bowl.
