ARGOS ADD INT DE RAKIM COX TO PRACTICE ROSTER

TORONTO - The Toronto Argonauts announced today the signing of International DE Rakim Cox to the practice roster.

Cox, 27, most recently spent time with the Edmonton Eskimos, playing in three games this season. The San Diego native spent part of 2017 with Saskatchewan, playing five games and recording four defensive tackles. Previous to his CFL experience, Cox was signed as a priority free-agent in 2014 by the NFL's Minnesota Vikings before moving on to the Miami Dolphins and eventually the Carolina Panthers in 2015-2016. The 6'4, 260-pound lineman lined up for the Panthers in their Super Bowl 50 loss to the Denver Broncos.

The former Villanova Wildcat played 48 games for the Philadelphia based school over four seasons, recording 105 tackles, 18 sacks, 33.5 tackles for loss, four forced fumbles and two interceptions in his career. Cox's senior season saw him amass 10 sacks and 30 tackles on his way to being named first-team All-CAA.
