ARGOS ADD PAIR OF DEFENSIVE BACKS TO PRACTICE ROSTER

TORONTO – The Toronto Argonauts announced Sunday that the team has added international defensive back Mitchell White and Canadian defensive back Anthony Coady to the practice roster.

White, a 5-11, 185-pound native of Livonia, Michigan, has played in 42 career CFL games split between Montreal and Ottawa. In 14 starts with the Redblacks in 2016, the Michigan State product tallied a career-high 38 defensive tackles and four interceptions. White most recently spent time with the Philadelphia Eagles, who signed him on January 7 and released him on August 13.

Coady, a 5-10, 190-pound native of Montreal, Quebec, was selected by the Montreal Alouettes in the seventh round (57th overall) of the 2015 CFL Draft. In 18 career games for the Als, The University of Montreal product posted five defensive tackles and seven special teams tackles. In 34 games with the Carabins, the 2014 Vanier Cup Champion produced 70 tackles, 11 interceptions, four sacks, two forced fumbles and three pass breakups.
