ARGOS ADD FORMER TEXAS A&M RB TREY WILLIAMS TO PRACTICE ROSTER

TORONTO – The Toronto Argonauts announced Tuesday that the team has added international running back Trey Williams to the practice roster.

Williams, a 5-7, 195-pound native of Spring, Texas, joins the Argos after spending time with six NFL teams in the last three seasons, including the Washington Redskins, Dallas Cowboys, New England Patriots, Miami Dolphins, Indianapolis Colts and, most recently, the Pittsburgh Steelers. The former Texas A&M standout and 2012 SEC All-Freshman posted 1,343 rushing yards and 18 touchdowns on 204 career carries with the Aggies, setting the school's all-time mark for yards per carry (6.5). He also returned 70 kickoffs for 1,684 yards, the school's second-highest career total.

The Argos also announced Tuesday that the team has released the following players from the practice roster:

  • Jonathan Epps (WR, Abilene Christian)
