ARGONAUTS TRANSACTION - AUGUST 22

TORONTO – The Toronto Argonauts announced Tuesday that the team has added international DB Khalid Wooten to the practice roster.

Wooten, a 6-0, 208-pound native of San Bernadino, California, has played in eight career CFL games between Hamilton and Montreal during the last two seasons. In six games with the Tiger-Cats in 2017, the University of Nevada product has recorded 26 defensive tackles, one interception, and one quarterback sack.

At Nevada, Wooten played in 51 career games, registering 157 total tackles, four tackles for a loss, one sack, 10 interceptions, five passes defended and four forced fumbles. Following his collegiate career, he was selected in the sixth round (202nd overall) of the NFL Draft by Tennessee Titans. He played three regular season games as a member of the Titans prior to signing with the Montreal Alouettes on August 22, 2016.
